Duplex 2205 (UNS S32205 / S31803) is a nitrogen-alloyed duplex stainless steel with an approximately 50/50 austenite–ferrite structure.
It offers:
About twice the yield strength of 304L/316L
High resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride SCC
Reliable performance in chloride-bearing, mildly sour and mixed acid/alkali chemical media
This makes Duplex 2205 pipe a strong, corrosion-resistant, and cost-effective choice for demanding chemical-processing and offshore systems.

Product Forms:
Seamless and welded duplex stainless steel pipe and tube
Supply condition: solution-annealed and pickled, cold- or hot-finished
High strength – Rp0.2 ≥ 450 MPa, Rm ≥ 620 MPa, allowing thinner walls at the same design pressure.
Excellent corrosion resistance – high PREN, strong resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride SCC.
Good weldability – suitable for standard welding processes when heat input and interpass temperature are properly controlled.
Better than 316L in chlorides
We support material selection and wall-thickness calculations (2205 vs 316L) to show clear benefits in strength, weight and service life.
Sour and aggressive service capability
Pipes can be supplied to meet NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 and relevant project requirements, including SSC/HIC testing when specified.
Engineering and project support
Assistance with WPS/PQR for Duplex 2205, NDE and PMI control, plus customized dimensions, lengths and complete QA/ITP documentation for chemical-processing projects.
